Sidelit – Slim LED panels with even, indirect light distribution

Sidelit refers to LED panels in which the LED chips are placed on the side of the panel and the light is distributed downwards via a light guide plate (LGP). The result is an exceptionally slim luminaire with soft, even light distribution, ideal for offices, shops, meeting rooms, and modern interiors where comfort and design are key.

Edge-lit technology for extra slim panels

In Sidelit or edge-lit panels, the LEDs are not located behind the entire surface, but along the edges of the panel. The light is then diffused via a special diffuser and light guide plate. This allows the panels to be very thin, making them ideal for suspended ceilings, surface-mounted frames, and situations where a sleek, minimalist ceiling is desired. Their light weight and low height make installation easy and flexible.

Comfortable light for work and learning environments

Sidelit LED panels are designed for spaces where people spend long periods of time, such as offices, schools, and meeting rooms. The combination of even light distribution, appropriate color temperatures (e.g., 3000K, 4000K or 5000K) and a low UGR value (low glare) ensures comfortable lighting. Thanks to efficient LED technology, Sidelit panels consume much less energy than traditional fluorescent fixtures, with comparable or even higher light output. Sidelit LED panels are ideal for replacing existing recessed fixtures with fluorescent tubes. Thanks to their standard dimensions (such as 60×60 cm or 30×120 cm), they fit into most suspended ceilings without major modifications. In addition, there are solutions for surface-mounted or pendant mounting, allowing Sidelit panels to also look stunning in concrete ceilings or designer interiors. This makes them suitable for use in both renovation and new construction projects.
