Warm (2700K) for living areas and ambience. 3000K is warm-neutral. 4000K is practical for kitchens, offices and workspaces. 6000K is mainly for very functional areas.
Rule of thumb: hallway 300–800 lm, bedroom 800–1500 lm, living room 1500–3000 lm, kitchen/workspace 2000–4000+ lm. For large rooms, use multiple light points.
CRI indicates colour rendering. For home use CRI 80+ is common; for kitchens, shops and design-sensitive areas, CRI 90+ looks more natural and pleasant.
Use a compatible LED dimmer (often trailing-edge). Check minimum load and whether your lamp/driver is dimmable. For panels/downlights, the driver type is key.
For screens and office work, choose low-glare lighting. LED panels are often selected with UGR < 19 for comfortable working light.
Near splash zones, choose higher protection. Around sinks/shower areas, IP44 is common; for direct wet zones, higher ratings may be required depending on placement.
